What are some things to do to build a wel known brand online?

I'm putting together a website and was wondering what might I be able to do to better build my brand online. What websites can I go to to build up my brand and extend my brand awareness. (My brand is to 16-24 year old students)



I've already dne mypace and have about 1200 friends and counting everyday. So please dont mention that in your answer.



Also in general: what are some ways a website owner and build a brand online, make it stonger and maybe even make it a household name to my target market.
